The world has suffered a terrible fate, and a small number of survivors have taken refuge underground, away from the sun, radiation, dangerous mutated animals and violent weather. Many spend their entire lives alone, fighting only to survive. PAVLE (18+) is one of them. Although young, he has met few people. For a time he was lucky enough to be helped and taught by the PROFESSOR (70+), so called because, in better days, he really had taught literature and film at a university. Since the Professor died, Pavle has neither met nor spoken to anyone. The Professor left him a special projector and instructions for using it. When Pavle finally switches it on, the Professor appears before him. Startled and delighted, Pavle soon understands that this is only an avatar, a hologram. Through the projector, the Professor tells and shows Pavle stories and fairy tales: journeys through a magical world, encounters with people and strange creatures, danger, dragons and flying cats. The Professor relives his adventures and his friendships with the heroes of those tales. They took place at different times, but always before the catastrophe. Every night Pavle visits the Professor's secret room, a long-forgotten shelter, turns on the projector and enters his extraordinary stories.
